Library Album for Pulse Eight Music - Get your music heard!
We have just finished recording and mixing of our first library album ever. Mr. Guillermo De La Barreda from LA based "PulseEight" Music (a rebel child of Groove Addicts) commissioned Demode to produce ten instrumental tracks for the needs of their clients from TV and film industry. They wanted the tracks to be in our old-fashioned style (1930's and stuff like that). These songs are about to be promoted in more than 50 countries worldwide and hopefully, will be licenced to many video projects.
I gotta tell you: these guys are very supportive and professional. I strongly recommend them if you want your music to be heard out there!!!

Demode band in Hollywood production
Wow... Yet another crazy thing happened!
Thanks to our cooperation with Semendria music publishing from Hollywood, we have managed to place our "Funny Blue" song into 520. episode of the "Shield"! The name of the episode is "Recoil" and as far as I know, it will be aired for the first time on May, 20. 2007. It goes like this: the main character enters some bar to negotiate with the boss of Armenian mafia. Funny Blue plays in background while they talk. The song will run for a bit more than a minute.
Be there with us at 22:00!

Songs on Demode Affairs: Funny Blue
Funny Blue
I ‘ve got a feeling above the rest of
So funny feeling, won’t knock my head off
I ‘ve got a riddle I just can’t make off
Stuck in the middle with “Mr. Show Off”
So funny, so funny…
I don’t know now why I feel so blue
Every time I fall in love with you
Should I believe it? Love can be orphan?
Would waste no sorrow, could use some more fun
Pick up a suitcase, pull up to bus stop
Got me a ticket and I ‘ll be far gone
So funny, so funny...
I don’t know now why I feel so blue
Every time I fall in love with you
It ‘s fee for feelin’ for molester
one that makes your heart go faster
I don’t know now why I feel so blue
Every time I fall in love with you

Songs on Demode Affairs: Luna
No saints today
could stand for me
to save my heart
from burglary
Weird desire open up to me
Lead my footsteps into never-seen...
No place to be,
No harmony...
In the mirror
Luna ‘s all I see
Weird desire open up to me
Lead my footsteps into never seen...
Luna, Luna,
(where have you been ?)
where do I go?
(what did you see ?)
Show me, teach me
(where does it lead ?)
Find my way home
Be my sister
(I do believe)
on horizon
(you ‘ll set me free)
Show me, teach me
(what did you see)
Find my way home
(where does it lead ?)

Songs on Demode Affairs: Berlin Wall
It was already late
On cold November day
I landed down to Berlin
And there you were my “friend”
My “Best of” ex mistakes
My “Worst of” ex affairs
Phony smiles, classy styles
I see you‘re still good at
Don’t try coming on
My heart is colder than the Berlin wall
East or west – your choice
‘Cos we won’t share this heart for anymore
Ella swings across the ocean
Makes the world go around
Down in Moscow people party
Playing to the sound
Be my souvenir,
Personal cold war
On the other side
Of my Berlin wall
No, I won’t bleed around
The way you broke my heart
Split it like a Berlin
And took away your part
No, I won’t be unfair
Have it your own way
Phony smiles are phony styles
Remember when I say

Songs on Demode Affairs: Burlesque
Talk to me, why you‘re hiding,
You and me feel the same…
Days to come lead us faraway
Say the grays in our hair
I stream along grotesque to chase our love molester
And finally find the writer who wrote the script to our love
I‘ll make him change the gray sky to mottled arabesque
We don’t deserve to end up inside this cheap burlesque
Talk to me, make believe us,
Give me safe place to hide
Autumn leaves hypnotized you
Thoughts of grief, scary tide
I stream along grotesque to chase our love molester
And finally find the writer who wrote the script to our love
I‘ll make him change the gray sky to mottled arabesque
We don’t deserve to end up inside this cheap burlesque
Time slips out, it‘s sliding,
Life goes out, my darling
Change the rhyme, sing out loud
Till it‘s gone, till we ‘re gone…

Songs on Demode Affairs: Coffee Break in Heaven
This song is dedicated to Nina...
Coffee Break in Heaven
Lay your prayers where our love might go
Don’t leave it undone
Hush the words that call for sorrow
Speak the way you know it took me
Life time to find you , boy
I ‘ll spend my days spreading charms around you, boy
Let ‘s make a smooth love
With coffee break in heaven
Leave all the cares melt away
And you, my love, will never be a stranger
The way I am strange to myself
Seems that storm could last forever
Ain’t no cure for us
You can bring the change in weather
Show the sun inside, it took me...
Life time to find you , boy
I ‘ll spend my days spreading charms
Let ‘s make a smooth love
With coffee break in heaven
Leave all the cares melt away
And you, my love, will never be a stranger
The way I am strange to myself

Songs on Demode affairs: Bijou Love
It looks like real, but it is fake... Beware!
Harmony days I‘ve been missing
But the access to you is denied
Make me keep quiet with dozen kisses
But are them for real think twice
Do I need to break like china
To show you how I feel?
Bijou love still inside us,
But in the end we will be sorry
It‘s bijou love that gently harms
Looking for a brand new lies
We had boarding tickets in same direction
But what we got now‘s so untrue
We used to dig deep for hidden treasure
But what we have found‘s so bijou…
Do I need to break like china
To show you how I feel?
Bijou love still inside us,
But in the end we will be sorry
It‘s bijou love that gently harms
Looking for a brand new lies

Songs on Demode Affairs: Frosty Queen
Frosty Queen gave us the name
Soon after the first song, we have continued recording sessions with “Dit Oui” and “Frosty Queen” tracks. It didn’t take us too long to understand that the music we create does not have too much in common with the main stream on the scene.
The same evening we finished recording of “Frosty Queen”, we got back to our little café. All three of us kept quiet for some time. We were shocked by our own song! The impression was so deep that we couldn’t grasp the whole picture on what exactly have we created. The song was bigger than all three of us who made it…
Suddenly, the silence broke. Zoran asked: “What kind of weird song was that?”
Dragan said: “I don’t know... but it sounds so… demode”. The name was born.
Thanks Frosty!
By the way, Demode means “old - fashioned” in French.
Mystic lady took my man
He fell for greedy play
I think he‘s playing with a devil
With conscience ‘round your neck
She‘ll never let you back
You‘re spending days in spider nest you‘ve chosen
With six black horses, six men guard,
Six wheel coach you won’t get far
You‘re loosing…
She and you don’t make two,
You make none, I am blue
I am loosing…
But in your phony kingdom
She‘ll be a frosty queen
She‘ll be a lady killer
To hunt your runaway dreams
If she can’t make you love her
She‘d just might freeze your heart
And make you be a gipsy
To search but never find
I‘ll try one more time
To get you out of dark
To break the spell she put you into
I believe in fairy tails,
I believe in happy-ends,
I believe that I can make you love me

Demode Affairs songs: Dit oui
(Means "Say Yes" in French)
Let’s step on a crazy stone
Just you and me
This love’s not a common kind
We‘re meant to be
You‘ll buy me white shoes
I‘ll buy you tie
and we‘re in this together
You‘ll bring your honey smile
I’ll bring the wine
And love that we would treasure
C’mon my dear,
You know I can’t stand when you‘re being
Far from me
C’mon my dear
I want to make promise you will
Be my honey pie
Be my lucky star
Be my number one
To me

Songs on "Demode Affairs": Back to England
Belgrade, Serbia. Nina had a night off from her regular gigs in city
jazz clubs and just wanted to relax with a couple of drinks in local
café. She grabbed the phone and invited Zoran and Dragan to join her. “It was about time to introduce you two to each other, guys!” she
said. Never in her wildest dreams had she expected the whole thing will go
way beyond ordinary chat in the café…It turned out Dragan wrote some songs that were just perfect for
Nina’s vocal and Zoran was recording studio owner and bass player. Next day we were in the studio recording our first song - “Back to
England”. This song determined the way we are going to sound like in
our future works. It is cool jazzy vibe we're always eager to listen
to again and again.
Lately he‘s been acting strange
It seems my baby is gone
Is it a shame
Because my baby is gone

Demode Affairs mp3 album
Each of ten tracks on this album represent different aspect of what we believe is the most important thing in our lives - the love. All of the songs are autobiographic to Demode band members and that’s why it is called “Demode Affairs”. It is all there: falling in love, adultery, old love, true love, lost love…
The styles on this album are: Gipsy jazz, swing, 1930’s radio jazz, blues and some sort of Euro folk (possibly French and Hungarian) which gives original quality to it all.
Demode:
Nina - vocals & tambourine
Zoran - acoustic bass, contrabass, accordion, drum programming, studio engineering
Dragan - lyrics, composing, guitars
Additional musicians:
Luka Djuricic - piano, keyboards, accordion on “Burlesque”
Goran Antovic - piano on “Whole Lot to You”
Sava Matic - trumpets
Ivan Saxy - saxophone
Zoran Saric Sare - lead guitar on “Berlin Wall”
Recorded from 2001 to 2004 in Demode Studio, Belgrade Serbia
All songs arranged and produced by Demode
“Demode Affairs” album is promoted by our partners at PulseEight, who are licensed to place our songs in the movies and TV.

Demode band members (part three)
Next thing I remember is when I met Zoran and Nina. The emptiness was gone… It was then when I became pretty aware of these words I keep repeating to myself:
There is no excuse for forgetting you are the chosen one as well. The talent is ability for creation and the creation is the only meaning of your life if you are good person. The talent makes the great part of who you are. And if you don't live your talent, whose life are you living?
The way I write songs
I do not start with melody. I do not start with guitar in my hands. I do not write the rhymes first. I start with the script or if you prefer, the emotional picture in my mind. To be more precise, it is usually something that could be used for a video to the song I write. All other elements of the song (music, lyrics, performing and producing) come by themselves and naturally fit in to existing framework.
Well, I know Nina and Zoran are going to kick me out from Demode for this, but I’ll tell you about our band anyway - it is not a band. It is a madhouse. And if Demode studio could talk it would tell you Nina and I had to unstick Zoran from the studio ceiling twice, and once the whole plastic surgery department gathered around Nina to wipe away the smile from her face…Zoran and Nina call it “joy of creation” but I tag it with clinically manifested euphoria. I am the only normal person there no matter what my wife thinks…lol
Now, let’s get serious…
Nina and Zoran could be two of the most charismatic persons I have met so far. Songwriting and studio recording are hard and serious work but thanks to Zoran and Nina - it is peace of cake.

Demode band members (part two)
Zoran Gospodinov
(Demode contrabass, acoustic bass, accordion, studio engineering)
History brings on the future
I have been into music for more than 30 years now and my development is rather conventional: started in local band, been through gigging phase with several cover bands, learned studio engineering, worked as both recording artist and producer for the majors - all the way to my own studio. But, "Demode" band is what I consider to be my greatest success and emotional satisfaction so far. Great songs and great friendship - that’s what Demode stands for.
After all, maturity and the experience bring you into position to settle down and take firm standing, right?
Inspiration
It is always easy to find inspiration for new songs in Nina's personality, vocal quality and in the way she performs. Dragan's creativity of performing gives great contribution to our original sound, so that Nina and I have an easy job - to follow his inspiration and contribute with ours.
The way we sound
The first song we made was "Back to England" and it certainly determined the set of the instruments we will use in the future. If you have ever listened to our songs you might have noticed that the most of the manner we sound like belongs to those wonderful acoustic instruments. That is another reason we sound so “Demode”

Demode band members - part one
The first memories of music start when I was six. My older sister bought some Billie Holiday records and I caught myself inhaling every tune that has been coming out from those vinyls.
It was then when I was sure music will have to do a lot with my life. Even today, when I feel extremely happy or sad, the words of Billie Holiday’s “My Man” are welling out of me. It is going back to my childhood, I guess…
Naturally, I started following my inborn talent for performing in the manner I adopted as a kid. Singing in the jazz and blues clubs was my regular job.
The very start was not easy. Music is phenomenon so hard to explain by words. I guess Dragan had a hard time pitching his vision to Zoran and me. Now we communicate much easier. Almost wordless…

Free mp3 music download by Demode band

Well, it has been a while - but we are back!
Looking for the way to promote our band overseas, I came across great idea: why not join two of the most lucrative and the most invasive industries on the Net: music and IM (Internet Marketing) industries!!!
I have been looking all around the web but I haven't noticed any of independent unsigned bands did such thing.
So, I have started learning about creating websites, affiliate programs, referral links, safelists, surfing for credits...
It all lasted for one whole year - but it was worth of efforts.
Finally, as a product Demode has two downloadable mp3 albums and one free mp3 song to offer to our fans who visit our new website.
But that is not all to it: everything our fans download from our website goes in package: great Demode mp3 tunes combined with Demode e-book. The book is in .pdf format and contains lyrics to our songs, cool pics of Demode members and plenty of information about the way we promote our music to film makers worldwide.
Oh, I almost forgot - our new website address is http://www.demode-music-download.com
Be sure to check in - free gift is waiting for you!

Invitation to check in at Demode chronicles

Hello blog & music lovers,
This is the first time we are on this spot, so we'd better tell you more about who we are...
Démodé band is formed in 2001 by three of us: Nina Krstonijevic (our lady singer), Zoran Gospodinov (bass man) and Dragan Pecinar (composing, lyrics and guitars). We are creative trio that dives into music without the burden of single genre. We are both performing artists and music creators. Our music ranges from Gipsy jazz, European folk, US 1930's jazz and blues à la Tom Waits all the way to modern drum & bass, atmosphere, neoclassical instrumentals or tunes in the vein of Cocteau Twins, Vaya Con Dios or Ry Cooder . Our site offers downloadable samples of our songs, lyrics, photo gallery and plenty about each of us. It also represents the open invitation to A&R people, record labels, artists, music supervisors, film producers and people from industry to work with us.
I think this is good enough for the start...
see you soon,
Dragan & Demode
